{"id":501,"date":"2026-01-14T14:50:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-benefits2024.pantheonsite.io\/en-ca\/?page_id=501"},"modified":"2026-02-12T21:09:58","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T21:09:58","slug":"spending-accounts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/benefits.aecom.com\/en-ca\/all-benefits\/spending-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"Spending Accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns sticky-sidebar-container is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-cbe57604 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.667%\">\n<p>No matter which health care module you choose, AECOM will contribute to a spending account that you can use to pay for health and wellbeing expenses for yourself and your dependents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You choose where you would like to direct the money:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \"><a href=\"#health_spending\">Your Health Spending Account (HSA)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \"><a href=\"#personal_spending\">Your Personal Spending Account (PSA)&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">Split between your HSA and PSA&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If&nbsp;you\u2019d&nbsp;like your money deposited to your PSA, you must&nbsp;enrol&nbsp;each year. Otherwise, it will automatically be contributed to your HSA and cannot be changed after Benefits Open Enrolment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your annual spending account allocation is:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">$175 if you choose<em> Employee + 1<\/em>, or <em>Employee + 2<\/em> or <em>More coverage<\/em> in a health care module&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \">$150 if you choose <em>Employee Only<\/em> coverage.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Deadlines<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any unused balance in your HSA or PSA at the end of one year will automatically&nbsp;carry&nbsp;over to the next year. You must use the carry-over amount by December 31 of the second&nbsp;year&nbsp;or you will lose it. You can&nbsp;submit&nbsp;claims through the&nbsp;mySun&nbsp;Life Mobile app or through <a href=\"http:\/\/mysunlife.ca\/aecom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mysunlife.ca\/aecom<\/a>. Claims are usually processed in less than&nbsp;48 hours.
