You do not need to be eligible for FMLA to be eligible for Parental Leave.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are eligible for FMLA, the usage will run&nbsp;concurrent&nbsp;with (at the same time as)&nbsp;Parental Leave. The minimum increment of usage is one full day,&nbsp;which for most employees is 8 hours. You&nbsp;can\u2019t&nbsp;take Parental Leave for less than a day&nbsp;or for a partial day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuous leave<strong> <\/strong>means you take leave from the start date to the end date of your leave, and you&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;work any days during this&nbsp;four week&nbsp;period of&nbsp;time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intermittent leave<strong> <\/strong>means you take days or weeks of leave between the start date and end date of your leave but also work some days or weeks during this time.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"accordion-item wp-block-aecom-blocks-aecom-accordion-item\">\n    <h2 class=\"accordion-header\">\n      <button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#accordion-1769415432466-1hegfct5v\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"accordion-1769415432466-1hegfct5v\">\n        <strong><strong>What if I have more than one new child event on the same day? It may take up to five business days for&nbsp;The Hartford&nbsp;to review your documentation. If further documentation is needed,&nbsp;The Hartford&nbsp;will&nbsp;notify you&nbsp;via&nbsp;a letter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a birthing parent, your Parental Leave will be approved at about the same time that your Pregnancy Leave is approved.
