You can use your HSA to help cover your deductible and eligible\u202fexpenses.\u202fWhatever you\u202fdon\u2019t\u202fuse today can\u202fbe saved and\u202finvested\u202ffor\u202fthe future, giving you\u202fa great way\u202fto build a nest egg for your health care expenses.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you enroll in a High Deductible Healthcare Plan (HDHP) medical\u202foption, you\u202fcan open an\u202fHSA in most cases.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Contributions<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For 2026, you can save up to $4,400 if you\u2019re covering just yourself, or $8,750 if you\u2019re covering yourself and family. If you\u2019re age 55 or older (or will turn age 55 during the plan year), you can also make additional before-tax \u201ccatch-up\u201d contributions to your HSA up to $1,000.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can start or change your HSA contributions at any time. Log into your\u202fbenefits\u202faccount<\/a>,\u202fchoose\u202fChange Your\u202fCoverage<\/em> and then select the HSA contribution tile. All changes will be effective the first of the next month.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investing Your HSA<\/strong> <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once your HSA cash balance reaches $1,000, you can invest any portion of the balance above $1,000 in select mutual funds. Set up your investments at myhealth.bankofamerica.com<\/a>.\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
