that the dependent is eligible for coverage.&nbsp;You\u2019ll&nbsp;receive information about eligibility and document requirements after you enroll.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who is eligible for AECOM benefits?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are eligible for AECOM benefits as an employee, you can enroll yourself and your eligible spouse\/domestic partner and dependent children in health,&nbsp;group&nbsp;and\/or voluntary benefits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-aecom-blocks-aecom-accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion\" We also want to manage our shared health care costs as responsibly as possible. As part of this effort, we ask for documentation for all new dependents, and we periodically request and review documentation to ensure that our plans include only those dependents who are eligible for benefits. As a company that receives federal funding for certain projects, we&nbsp;are also required to&nbsp;ensure that all dependents enrolled in our health care plans are eligible for coverage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who conducts the dependent verification process?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Alight, our benefits administrator, conducts the dependent verification process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What if I&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;think I can meet the deadline due to extenuating circumstances?\u202f<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We understand that there may be some cases in which employees might have difficulty obtaining and&nbsp;submitting&nbsp;the eligibility&nbsp;documentation. If you think that may apply to you, please call the\u202fAECOM Benefits Service Center\u202fto discuss your situation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What happens if my dependent(s) is currently covered by AECOM benefits, but is not eligible for AECOM coverage?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive a notice letting you know that your dependent(s) will no longer be covered under AECOM\u2019s benefit plans. In addition, your dependent(s) will not be eligible for continuation coverage under COBRA because they were not eligible for benefits at the time coverage stopped.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Will my benefits contributions be reimbursed to me if my dependent loses coverage?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>No. Although the dependent was not eligible for coverage during the beginning of the year, they were covered under the benefits plan and&nbsp;have been&nbsp;able to receive benefits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What happens if I miss the deadline?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly encourage you to collect and&nbsp;submit&nbsp;the documentation as soon as possible. If you do not provide documents by the deadline, your dependent(s) will not be eligible for coverage. If you&nbsp;submit&nbsp;documentation after coverage ends, we will reinstate their coverage once we receive and review the required documents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Will I have to provide dependent verification every year?\u202f<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>No. However, if you add a new dependent to your coverage, you will need to provide eligibility documentation for that dependent at the time of enrollment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading mb-3\"><strong>How can I obtain lost documents&nbsp;required&nbsp;to prove my dependent\u2019s eligibility?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You may contact the government office in the county or state in which the event took place (i.e., birth, marriage, etc.). Most offices will mail a replacement document within five business days for a nominal fee. For a more immediate response, you may visit the county or state office to obtain the document the same day.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please make sure you know what information you will need to present&nbsp;in order to&nbsp;obtain the document prior to visiting the county or state office.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also obtain documents online by visiting&nbsp;\u202f<a href=\"http:\/\/vitalchek.com\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"vitalchek.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vitalchek.com<\/a>. This website is used by every U.S. state to process vital record requests&nbsp;and also&nbsp;has links to sites where you can request vital records from foreign countries or for American citizens born abroad.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average turnaround time for requests is three days, and requested documents are marked with the clerk of&nbsp;courts&nbsp;seal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any fees charged are not eligible for reimbursement from AECOM or from your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How will my personal information be used and who will have access to it?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Alight recognizes that this process may cause privacy concerns, particularly for&nbsp;those having&nbsp;to provide sensitive information for&nbsp;their&nbsp;dependents.
