They will let you know what may be needed to review your request. It is important to&nbsp;submit&nbsp;all requested documentation&nbsp;in&nbsp;a timely&nbsp;matter&nbsp;to avoid any delay.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to take a leave of absence, please provide your manager and HR Partner at least&nbsp;30 days&nbsp;prior&nbsp;notice&nbsp;or as soon as possible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should also review your work&nbsp;state&nbsp;legislation for applicable state programs and benefits. This type of leave may be taken for the employee\u2019s own serious health condition, birth or adoption of a child or because of the foster care placement of a child; or to provide care for a spouse, domestic partner, child of a domestic partner or parent (or parent-in-law) who has a serious condition.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not eligible for or have&nbsp;exhausted&nbsp;FMLA&nbsp;and\/or a&nbsp;state&nbsp;leave, you may be eligible for&nbsp;<strong>leave as&nbsp;an accommodation&nbsp;under the ADA<\/strong>. After 6 weeks,&nbsp;STD&nbsp;provides 66.67% of&nbsp;your regular base pay.&nbsp;The&nbsp;maximum&nbsp;STD&nbsp;claim length is 26 weeks.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \"><strong>LTD<\/strong>: Provides 60% or 66.67% (buy-up option) of base annual earnings, up to $15,000 per month.&nbsp;This program&nbsp;is&nbsp;subject to other offsets, such as Social Security disability payments and other individual disability insurance.&nbsp;LTD may begin&nbsp;if you are disabled and&nbsp;unable to work for 26 weeks and may be payable up to Social Security normal retirement age. You&nbsp;may use FTO,&nbsp;PTO, or legacy sick leave hours&nbsp;during this time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">If you work in Colorado, Minnesota or Oregon please contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:LOA@aecom.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LOA@aecom.com<\/a>&nbsp;for specific timesheet instructions. You may use a reduced amount of FTO\/PTO because these state programs do not have a waiting period.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">If you are paid on a salaried plan&nbsp;(typically exempt),&nbsp;and part of your waiting period is in the middle of the week, you must&nbsp;submit&nbsp;a manual timesheet for&nbsp;the FTO\/PTO hours used during the second week.&nbsp;Enter only the FTO\/PTO hours on this manual timesheet and leave the remaining days blank.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">Please do not&nbsp;submit&nbsp;any hours after the&nbsp;initial&nbsp;five business days of absence. You do not need to&nbsp;complete a&nbsp;timesheet&nbsp;for the&nbsp;remainder&nbsp;of your leave.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \">If you have&nbsp;accrued&nbsp;PTO&nbsp;or a legacy sick leave balance, you may&nbsp;supplement your disability insurance payments after they become payable at 66.67 percent.&nbsp;Typically, you may use up to 2.75&nbsp;hours&nbsp;per day.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"accordion-item wp-block-aecom-blocks-aecom-accordion-item\">\n    <h2 class=\"accordion-header\">\n      <button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#accordion-1768396628008-ifo7ehr0s\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"accordion-1768396628008-ifo7ehr0s\">\n        <strong>What happens to my benefits during a leave?<\/strong>\u200b\u00a0\u200b      <\/button>\n    <\/h2>\n    <div id=\"accordion-1768396628008-ifo7ehr0s\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" data-bs-parent=\"#accordion-1768396035457-0i9a3osra\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-body\">\n        \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">If you are enrolled in AECOM benefits, you may continue&nbsp;your&nbsp;benefits by paying&nbsp;your benefit premiums directly to the&nbsp;AECOM Benefits&nbsp;Service Center.&nbsp;Benefit premiums are&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;deducted&nbsp;from STD claim payments.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">When&nbsp;the AECOM Benefits Service Center receives your leave status,&nbsp;applicable&nbsp;premiums automatically switch to direct billing. The benefit invoice is&nbsp;on a monthly basis. The first invoice typically includes any amount due plus the upcoming month.&nbsp;You\u2019ll&nbsp;receive your first invoice within two weeks of your&nbsp;leave&nbsp;approval. The&nbsp;invoicing&nbsp;will continue for the entire duration of your leave.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">Please direct all questions about benefit payments to the AECOM Benefits Service Center at 844-779-9567, Monday through Friday (8 a.m. \u2013 8 p.m. Central Time) or log into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myaecombenefits.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.myAECOMbenefits.com<\/a>. They&nbsp;won\u2019t&nbsp;be able to answer any questions about your invoice until the first invoice is generated.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">Your <strong>Health FSA<\/strong> contributions continue through Direct Bill.&nbsp;You may only&nbsp;submit&nbsp;claims for eligible expenses while you are actively contributing to your Health FSA.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \"><strong>HSA<\/strong> and&nbsp;<strong>401(k)&nbsp;contributions<\/strong>&nbsp;do not continue while on&nbsp;leave. You may adjust your HSA and 401k contribution amounts through your payroll deductions when you return to work.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \">You are not eligible for&nbsp;<strong>Dependent&nbsp;Care&nbsp;FSA&nbsp;<\/strong>while on leave.&nbsp;You have&nbsp;up to&nbsp;90 days after the&nbsp;calendar&nbsp;year&nbsp;end to&nbsp;submit&nbsp;a claim for reimbursement of&nbsp;eligible expenses incurred while actively working.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"  \">You are not eligible for&nbsp;<strong>commuter benefits<\/strong>&nbsp;while on leave. This form is provided by&nbsp;The Hartford&nbsp;in your&nbsp;initial&nbsp;information&nbsp;packet.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">Email the completed and signed form to your HR Business Partner prior&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:LOA@aecom.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LOA@aecom.com<\/a>.&nbsp;<strong>This form must be&nbsp;submitted&nbsp;before you are&nbsp;permitted&nbsp;to return to work.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">&nbsp;If your release&nbsp;includes&nbsp;restrictions, you must contact your Human Resource Business Partner to begin the review process&nbsp;<strong>prior<\/strong>&nbsp;to returning to work and&nbsp;<strong>prior<\/strong>&nbsp;to your leave&nbsp;expiration&nbsp;date.&nbsp;Please allow 3 to 5 business days for AECOM to review your documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After returning from work:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"  \">It will take a few days for your active status to transfer to the AECOM Benefits Service Center. Once this occurs,&nbsp;you may review your benefits. This type of leave may be taken for the employee\u2019s own serious health condition.&nbsp;When it is medically necessary, employees may take FMLA leave intermittently \u2013 taking leave in separate blocks of time for a single qualifying reason \u2013 or on a reduced leave schedule \u2013 reducing the employee\u2019s usual weekly or daily work schedule.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not eligible for or have exhausted FMLA, you may be eligible for&nbsp;intermittent&nbsp;leave as&nbsp;an accommodation&nbsp;under the ADA.
