Virtual care and online counselling
If you’re enrolled in health benefits through Sun Life, you and your eligible dependents have access to Lumino Health Virtual Care, allowing you to connect with a nurse, doctor, or mental health specialist from anywhere. You can also renew prescriptions and receive guidance on a variety of health concerns.
For additional support, Online Counselling by Dialogue provides confidential access to licensed professionals who can help you manage stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other everyday challenges through the my Sun Life mobile app.
Additional resources through your health plan
Your Sun Life health plan helps make mental health care more accessible by covering services from eligible mental health practitioners, including psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, clinical counsellors, and psychoanalysts.
If you’re enrolled in Module B, the plan reimburses 80% of eligible expenses up to $1,000 per person each year for mental health practitioners. If you’re enrolled in Module C, the plan reimburses 90% of eligible expenses up to $1,500 per person each year for mental health practitioners. This coverage can help you access the professional support you need to care for your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Wellbeing events and webinars
You can participate in a variety of virtual events and webinars throughout the year.
Through the EAP, ComPsych Huddles and webinars provide expert-led sessions on topics such as stress management, anxiety, resilience, work-life balance, and personal growth. Whether you prefer interactive discussions, mindfulness practices, or educational presentations, there are opportunities to learn and connect in a supportive environment.
Health carriers also provide webinars for members covering mental, emotional, and physical health. For example, Kaiser Permanente members can attend sessions that are led by health experts and offer practical tips to help you build healthy habits, reduce stress, and improve overall wellbeing.
